This role is a new position and pivotal in shaping the tech team. Responsibilities:
Provision, configure, and ensure cloud infrastructure is highly available and scalable to support application development teams.
Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline and automate application development and deployment processes.
Implement and manage configuration and secret management tools, including the automation of production certificates, secrets, and keys rotation.
Automate routine tasks, deployments, and infrastructure changes to improve efficiency and minimize manual errors.
Serve as the primary point of contact for infrastructure incidents and issues, providing rapid resolution and conducting root cause analysis.
Build and maintain a suite of dashboards and alerts to monitor the health of production infrastructure and applications.
Perform regular health checks, patching, upgrades, and failover testing for production systems.
Report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by tracking, measuring, and analyzing
performance metrics to ensure compliance with agreed service levels, and identifying areas for improvement.
Configure and manage access policies for developer tools, adhering to the principle of least privilege.
Maintain and monitor the web application firewall by configuring security rules, analyzing logs, and responding to threats to protect web applications from attacks.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost savings related to infrastructure, developer experience, system monitoring, and security.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering role
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS; AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is a plus.
- Proven expertise in managing Cloudflare or similar WAF products (e.g., Akamai).
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (such as Terraform)
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of configuration and secret management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Proficient in automation and scripting languages (Bash and PowerShell).
Extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes). - Hands-on experience with SaaS monitoring and alerting tools like Datadog, Elastic Cloud, etc.
- Familiarity with the .NET ecosystem.
- Knowledge of Redis, SQS & SNS, Kafka is a plus.
