Workplace Compliance Advisor

Location: Hybrid – in-office once a week Midtown Toronto
Hours: Full-time | Monday–Friday (flexible)
Reporting To: Senior Leadership

Role Summary:
A growing organization in the HR and workforce solutions space is seeking an Workplace Compliance Advisor to support a dynamic, high-volume client environment. This role sits at the intersection of employment law, HR, and operations. You will provide practical guidance, support compliance initiatives, and manage employment-related documentation across multiple client accounts. Key Responsibilities:

Client Advisory & HR Support

  • Manage day-to-day client inquiries across multiple accounts (onboarding, offboarding, HR matters)
  • Triage high-volume communications, ensuring timely and clear responses
  • Support client interactions with practical, business-focused guidance
  • Track inquiries and responses to ensure consistency and follow-through
  • Identify recurring themes and contribute to scalable resources (templates, FAQs)
  • Manage a high volume of employment-related documentation with strong attention to detail

Compliance

  • Draft, review, and maintain employment agreements and contractor documentation
  • Provide guidance on employment standards, terminations, leaves, and workplace policies
  • Ensure documentation is compliant, consistent, and aligned with current legislation
  • Stay up to date on regulatory changes and apply them in a practical context
  • Support health & safety compliance requirements as needed

Operations & Workflow Management

  • Organize and standardize templates and documentation
  • Maintain a centralized document library
  • Improve workflows, tracking systems, and internal processes
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend scalable solutions
  • Support internal systems and cross-functional operational needs

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in employment law, HR compliance, or legal/HR support
  • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-client or client-facing environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of Canadian employment standards (Ontario preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS/ATS systems is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in Law, HR, or a related field preferred
  • Law Clerk designation or equivalent experience considered an asset

Compensation

  • $70,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience
