As QA Engineer you will work closely with colleagues from different disciplines within our international and geographically separated organization and you also frequently have contact with external stakeholders. No problem for you, with your ability to self-motivate and work independently. You are open to improvement, see opportunities and change in the pursuit of best-in-class compliance performance. Your project management skills will come in handy when participating in and leading quality improvement projects.

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Critically review R&D and manufacturing documentation for suitability to produce high-quality medical devices and pharmaceutical products
  • Drive and support continuous improvement within the organisation by providing technical expertise in quality assurance and quality improvement to improve the robustness of design, process and material supplied
  • Optimise, align and control inspection and measurement methods (including inspection levels) and acceptance criteria throughout the production and supply chain
  • Taking immediate action to minimise consequential damage from a detected non-conformity
  • Coordinate, support, supervise, and where necessary carry out activities related to CAPAs, NCs and SCARS with the aim of preventing recurrence of quality problems
  • Ensure periodic reporting on and trends in relevant performance indicators
  • Ensuring that our suppliers have the capabilities to meet the requirements and are selected, qualified, evaluated and maintained according to internal procedures
  • Maintain relationships with and monitor suppliers through periodic visits and implementation of supplier audits
  • Promote efforts to increase the maturity of the internal organisation and suppliers

Who are you?

  • You have a Bachelors Degree (or equivalent ability) in relevant technical field
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in quality engineering in a regulated environment
  • Knowledge of mechanical, plastic and/or electrical components and their production methods
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
  • Relevant experience in quality engineering in product development, production and/or supplier management
  • Understanding of quality system requirements (ISO9001, ISO13485 or equivalent) and experience in conducting audits
  • Understanding of and experience with inspection and measurement methods and/or other concepts to ensure the quality of materials and products
  • Understanding of the application of statistics in quality control
