Production Officer
About the job Production Officer
The Production Officer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the production process to ensure that products are manufactured on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a proactive leader with strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of production techniques and best practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet demand while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
- Maintaining Records: Ensure to maintain all data of shopfloor, daily production record, Wastage Records, Entries in ERP ETC.
- Team Leadership: Manage and supervise production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation. Foster a collaborative and safe work environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Resource Management: Oversee the procurement and management of raw materials, equipment, and supplies. Maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and address any safety concerns promptly.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics, challenges, and achievements.
- Coordination: Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth production operations and timely problem resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in food technology. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- 1-year relevant experience
- Person should be disciplined, hard worker, honest and intent to learn and grow.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in production planning and control systems.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to analyse data and generate reports.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
