 Background

The AFAWA project, funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB), seeks to empower women-led businesses (WEBs) and women employees in ETGs agribusiness supply chains. The programme includes training, employability improvement, financial inclusion, and market linkages.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field. Masters in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in M&E for multi-country development programmes, preferably focused on gender, entrepreneurship, or livelihoods.
  • Experience with donor-funded programmes (AfDB, World Bank, UN, etc.) and use of log frames and results-based frameworks.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, STATA, Kobo, Power BI, etc.).
  • Ability to present data in accessible formats (dashboards, charts, infographics).
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Fluency in English required; working knowledge of Portuguese or Swahili is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel to field sites across the four implementation countries.
