About the job Sales Manager

We are looking for a results-driven and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our insurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying customer needs, promoting insurance products, and achieving sales targets. You will play a key role in building strong client relationships and guiding customers through their insurance options.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Sales & Revenue Generation

    • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets across designated insurance products (life, health, or general).
    • Generate new leads through networking, referrals, market research, and partnerships.
    • Conduct product presentations, customer meetings, and sales pitches to convert prospects into clients.
    • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to policy issuance and post-sales support.

    Business Development

    • Identify new market segments, distribution channels, and business opportunities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, brokers, channel partners, and intermediaries.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized insurance solutions for clients.
    • Participate in strategic planning to expand market reach and improve competitive positioning.

    Client Relationship Management

    • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through regular communication and service quality.
    • Understand client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
    • Resolve customer queries, policy concerns, and issues promptly.
    • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and cross-sell/upsell additional products.

    Market Analysis & Strategy

    • Conduct competitor analysis, market research, and industry trend assessments.
    • Provide insights to management to refine product offerings, pricing, and positioning.
    • Track sales performance and prepare weekly/monthly reports.

    Compliance & Documentation

    • Ensure all sales processes adhere to regulatory guidelines and company policies.
    • Maintain accurate documentation for proposals, applications, and policy records.
    • Coordinate with underwriting and operations teams for smooth policy processing.


EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance sales, business development, or financial services (depending on seniority level).
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the insurance domain.
    • Strong knowledge of insurance products and regulations.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Relationship-building and stakeholder management.
    • Ability to work independently and handle pressure.
    • Proficiency in CRM, MS Office, and sales reporting tools
