ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly analytical, commercially driven, and detail-oriented Investment Banker to support the execution of corporate finance, investment advisory, fundraising, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), valuation, and other strategic financial transactions.
The successful candidate will be involved across the transaction lifecycle, from market and company research, financial analysis and modelling, valuation, and preparation of transaction materials through to due diligence, client engagement, negotiation support, and transaction execution.
This role is suitable for professionals with experience in Investment Banking, Deals Advisory, Deal Advisory, Transaction Advisory, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, M&A, Financial Advisory, or related fields who are looking to deepen their transaction execution and advisory experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Analysis & Modelling

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to support corporate finance and investment decisions.
  • Analyse historical financial statements, operating performance, cash flows, and key financial metrics.
  • Develop financial forecasts, projections, scenarios, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Perform financial analysis to assess business performance, investment opportunities, and transaction viability.
  • Analyse revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, debt, and capital structure.
  • Conduct scenario and stress testing to evaluate potential transaction outcomes.
  • Review and validate financial assumptions used in transaction models.
Valuation
  • Conduct company and transaction valuations using appropriate methodologies.
  • Perform Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Companies, Precedent Transactions, and other relevant valuation analyses.
  • Research and analyse comparable companies, transactions, industry multiples, and market benchmarks.
  • Develop valuation ranges and assess the key drivers behind valuation outcomes.
  • Prepare valuation analyses and supporting materials for internal and client review.
  • Identify key assumptions, sensitivities, and risks affecting valuations.
M&A & Transaction Advisory
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
  • Conduct target company research and screening based on defined investment criteria.
  • Support the preparation of acquisition and transaction analyses.
  • Assist with financial and commercial due diligence.
  • Analyse transaction structures, purchase considerations, financing requirements, and potential returns.
  • Prepare transaction models and supporting analysis.
  • Track transaction workstreams and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Support senior team members throughout the transaction execution process.
Fundraising & Capital Raising
  • Support debt and equity fundraising mandates.
  • Conduct analysis of clients' capital requirements and funding options.
  • Develop financial models to assess potential funding structures.
  • Support preparation of investor materials, information memoranda, pitch books, and fundraising proposals.
  • Research potential investors and financing sources.
  • Assist with investor engagement and transaction processes.
  • Analyse proposed financing terms and their impact on clients' financial position.
Corporate Finance Advisory
  • Support clients on strategic corporate finance decisions.
  • Analyse capital structures, financing options, investment opportunities, and strategic alternatives.
  • Prepare financial analyses and recommendations for corporate finance mandates.
  • Support business restructuring, recapitalisation, refinancing, and other financial advisory assignments.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of strategic business decisions.
  • Assist senior bankers in developing transaction strategies and client recommendations.
Research & Market Intelligence
  • Conduct detailed industry, market, competitor, and company research.
  • Analyse market trends, economic conditions, industry developments, and regulatory changes.
  • Identify emerging investment opportunities and potential transaction opportunities.
  • Prepare company profiles, industry reports, market updates, and transaction analyses.
  • Monitor comparable companies and recent transactions.
  • Gather and analyse information from financial databases, company reports, industry publications, and other credible sources.
Transaction Materials & Presentations
  • Prepare high-quality pitch books and client presentations.
  • Develop Information Memoranda, teasers, management presentations, proposals, and transaction documents.
  • Prepare investment committee materials and internal transaction papers.
  • Translate complex financial analysis into clear and commercially relevant presentations.
  • Ensure all transaction materials are accurate, well-structured, and professionally presented.
  • Review financial figures and supporting data before submission to clients or senior management.
    8. Due Diligence & Transaction Execution
  • Coordinate and support financial, commercial, and operational due diligence activities.
  • Review financial information and identify material issues, inconsistencies, and potential risks.
  • Assist with data-room management and information requests.
  • Track outstanding due diligence items and transaction deliverables.
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, advisors, investors, legal counsel, accountants, and other transaction stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation and review of transaction documentation.
  • Maintain transaction timelines and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed deadlines.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support senior bankers in client meetings and presentations.
  • Assist in responding to client requests and transaction-related queries.
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses, objectives, financial position, and strategic priorities.
  • Support preparation for client pitches and business development meetings.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and transaction stakeholders.
  • Communicate financial and transaction concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Deal Negotiation & Closing Support
  • Support senior team members during transaction negotiations.
  • Analyse commercial and financial implications of proposed transaction terms.
  • Prepare negotiation analysis and supporting financial information.
  • Track agreed transaction terms and outstanding closing conditions.
  • Assist with transaction closing activities and post-transaction documentation.
  • Ensure transaction information is properly documented and maintained.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3–7 years of relevant professional experience in:
  • Investment Banking, Deals Advisory, Deal Advisory, Transaction Advisory, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, M&A, Financial Advisory, Investment Advisory Or a closely related field.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate finance and transaction execution.
  • Strong knowledge of M&A, fundraising, capital raising, and investment analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong financial statement analysis skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple transaction workstreams.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Any of the following would be an advantage:
  • CFA, ACA / ICAN, ACCA, MBA, CIMA
  • Other recognised finance, accounting, investment, or corporate finance qualifications.
