ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Logistics Expert to support an advanced AI training and evaluation project.
The successful candidate will apply deep supply chain expertise to develop, review, and evaluate complex business scenarios involving S&OP/IBP, supply chain network design, inventory optimisation, distribution, global logistics, freight management, and supply chain risk.
This role requires strong operational judgment, analytical ability, and the ability to assess whether solutions are technically accurate, commercially practical, and aligned with real-world supply chain practices.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Chain Task Development

  • Develop high-complexity supply chain and logistics scenarios for AI training and evaluation.
  • Create realistic tasks involving planning, inventory, distribution, transportation, and operational decision-making.
  • Develop clear requirements, expected deliverables, and high-quality reference solutions.
  • Ensure scenarios reflect practical enterprise supply chain challenges.
S&OP / IBP and Supply Planning
  • Develop and evaluate scenarios involving Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Assess demand, supply, capacity, and inventory trade-offs.
  • Evaluate planning decisions against service-level, cost, and working-capital requirements.
  • Apply expertise in cross-functional supply chain planning and alignment.
Network & Distribution Optimisation
  • Develop scenarios relating to supply chain network design and distribution strategy.
  • Evaluate warehouse, distribution, and transportation decisions.
  • Analyse trade-offs involving cost, service levels, capacity, and operational efficiency.
  • Assess network improvement and optimisation recommendations.
Inventory Strategy & Optimisation
  • Create and assess complex inventory management scenarios.
  • Evaluate safety stock policies, inventory positioning, replenishment, and optimisation strategies.
  • Analyse inventory trade-offs between product availability, working capital, and operational cost.
  • Identify inventory-related risks and supply chain bottlenecks.
Logistics & Freight Management
  • Develop and review scenarios involving transportation, freight, and end-to-end distribution.
  • Assess freight options, logistics costs, service requirements, and transportation performance.
  • Evaluate distribution and global logistics strategies.
  • Develop practical approaches to supply chain disruptions and contingency planning.
AI Evaluation & Quality Assurance
  • Review and evaluate AI-generated and expert-produced supply chain outputs.
  • Assess technical accuracy, feasibility, strategic rationale, and practical relevance.
  • Define or apply evaluation rubrics that differentiate high-quality, acceptable, and weak outputs.
  • Identify errors, gaps, unrealistic assumptions, and weaknesses in operational reasoning.
Review, Calibration & Escalation
  • Review team members' work and provide feedback to maintain quality standards.
  • Participate in calibration and revision activities to improve task complexity and accuracy.
  • Identify ambiguous requirements, domain edge cases, and evaluation challenges.
  • Escalate genuine technical or rubric-related issues to the Functional SME Lead.
  • Ensure assigned deliverables meet project milestones and established quality requirements.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 8–15 years of hands-on experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Global Planning, or related functions.
  • Deep expertise in one or more of the following:
  • S&OP / IBP, Supply and demand planning, Supply chain network design, Inventory strategy and optimisation, 
  • Distribution and logistics
  • Global freight and transportation
  • Supply chain risk management
  • Strong experience analysing complex operational data and supply chain performance.
  • Ability to evaluate end-to-end trade-offs involving cost, service levels, inventory, capacity, and working capital.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify supply chain bottlenecks and develop practical solutions.
  • Experience developing executive-level supply chain analyses, frameworks, proposals, or strategic recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
  • Must be located in an approved U.S. state.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, or other relevant APICS/ASCM certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, supply chain optimisation tools, or enterprise planning systems.
  • Experience developing complex business scenarios, evaluation frameworks, or assessment materials.
  • Previous experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, or quality assurance is an advantage but not required.
