Head, Technical (Insurance) 

Location: Freetown, Sierra Leone (Relocation required)

Grade Level: Senior Manager to Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Target Candidate: Male | Nigerian National

Are you an experienced insurance leader who has built a career from the ground up in underwriting, claims, and reinsurance? A leading organization is looking for a strategic Head, Technical to lead their technical operations in Sierra Leone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end technical strategy across Underwriting, Claims Management, and Reinsurance (Treaty & Facultative).
• Optimize loss ratios, risk assessment models, and technical reserves to drive portfolio profitability.
• Oversee claims administration to ensure fast, fair, and leak-proof processing.
• Manage relationships with reinsurers, brokers, and regulatory bodies.
• Mentor and build technical capacity within the local team.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10–15+ years in Non-Life/General Insurance, with direct hands-on growth from underwriting/claims to Senior Management.
• Education & Certifications: Degree in Insurance, Finance, or related field. ACII or ACIIN preferred.
• Mobility: Open and ready to relocate to Sierra Leone.
