Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a specialized AI training and evaluation project.
As an AI Trainer – Registered Nurse, you will use your professional nursing expertise to create, evaluate, and refine training data for advanced AI systems. You will develop realistic clinical scenarios, nursing tasks, and expert-level solutions that test an AI model's ability to understand clinical workflows, assess patients, prioritize care, recognize clinical deterioration, and support effective care coordination.
The role is ideal for clinically experienced nurses who have strong analytical and written communication skills and are interested in applying their healthcare expertise to the development of next-generation AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

AI Training & Clinical Task Development

  • Develop expert-level nursing tasks, clinical prompts, and realistic patient scenarios for AI training and evaluation.
  • Create gold-standard solutions covering nursing care, clinical assessment, patient monitoring, triage, care planning, and care coordination.
  • Design tasks that assess AI capabilities across the nursing process: Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
  • Develop realistic clinical cases involving symptoms, vital signs, laboratory values, changes in patient condition, and other relevant clinical information.
  • Ensure tasks reflect practical nursing workflows and real-world patient care situations.
Clinical Scenario Development & Review
  • Author realistic clinical scenarios involving nursing assessments, triage decisions, patient monitoring, care planning, and nursing interventions.
  • Develop patient cases that require identification of clinical deterioration and appropriate prioritization of care.
  • Create scenarios involving different levels of clinical complexity and patient risk.
  • Review clinical scenarios and patient information to ensure accuracy, practicality, and realism.
  • Ensure scenarios are aligned with current evidence-based nursing standards and accepted clinical practices.
Nursing Assessment & Clinical Reasoning
  • Apply professional nursing expertise to assess patient symptoms, vital signs, laboratory results, and clinical observations.
  • Evaluate clinical scenarios to identify patient priorities, potential risks, and appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Assess AI-generated responses for appropriate use of the nursing process and clinical reasoning.
  • Review recommendations to ensure appropriate prioritization of patient needs and recognition of changes in clinical condition.
  • Identify inaccurate, unsafe, incomplete, or impractical clinical recommendations and provide appropriate corrections.
Patient Care Planning & Intervention
  • Develop and evaluate nursing care plans based on patient assessments, clinical findings, and identified care needs.
  • Review recommendations relating to nursing diagnoses, care goals, interventions, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes.
  • Assess whether proposed interventions are appropriate, practical, and aligned with the patient's clinical condition.
  • Ensure patient care recommendations demonstrate appropriate prioritization, monitoring, follow-up, and escalation.
  • Evaluate AI outputs for their ability to support safe and effective patient care management.
Clinical Documentation & Nursing Deliverables
  • Create and review professional nursing deliverables, including nursing care plans, SOAP notes, discharge instructions, SBAR handoff communications, and clinical assessment summaries.
  • Ensure clinical documentation is clear, structured, accurate, and relevant to the patient scenario.
  • Evaluate AI-generated documentation for completeness, clinical accuracy, and consistency with accepted nursing practices.
  • Review patient education and discharge instructions to ensure they are practical, clear, and appropriate to the patient's care needs.
  • Ensure handoff and communication scenarios contain relevant information to support continuity and coordination of care.
Patient Triage & Clinical Deterioration
  • Evaluate patient scenarios to determine appropriate nursing priorities and urgency of intervention.
  • Assess vital signs, symptoms, laboratory results, and clinical observations to identify potential deterioration.
  • Review AI-generated triage recommendations for appropriate prioritization and escalation.
  • Identify clinical warning signs and assess whether appropriate interventions or escalation pathways have been recommended.
  • Ensure AI-generated outputs demonstrate sound clinical reasoning when managing changing patient conditions.
Care Coordination & Interprofessional Communication
  • Develop and evaluate scenarios involving coordination of patient care among nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assess AI-generated recommendations relating to communication, referrals, handoffs, and escalation of patient concerns.
  • Review SBAR and other structured communication outputs for clarity, completeness, and appropriate clinical context.
  • Ensure recommendations support effective collaboration and continuity of patient care.
  • Apply professional judgment to identify situations requiring communication or escalation to the appropriate healthcare professional.
Clinical Accuracy, Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Verify that all clinical tasks, patient charts, nursing interventions, and expert solutions are technically accurate and practically realistic.
  • Ensure content is aligned with current clinical guidelines, evidence-based nursing standards, and patient safety principles.
  • Identify unsafe recommendations, clinical inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and omissions within tasks or AI-generated outputs.
  • Review assigned work with strong attention to detail to ensure clinical information is logically consistent and appropriate.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, safety, and reliability across all deliverables.
AI Output Evaluation & Feedback
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses using established rubrics, grading frameworks, and quality standards.
  • Assess outputs for clinical accuracy, reasoning, completeness, relevance, safety, and practical applicability.
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, errors, and gaps in AI-generated nursing recommendations.
  • Provide clear expert feedback to support the refinement and improvement of training and evaluation data.
  • Ensure completed tasks and evaluations meet the required quality benchmarks.
Rubric Compliance & Continuous Improvement
