The organisation collaborates with subject-matter experts to strengthen AI capabilities in complex reasoning, specialised knowledge, and professional decision-making.
As part of its AI training and evaluation initiatives, the company is engaging experienced legal professionals to contribute their expertise to the development, review, and evaluation of advanced legal scenarios and AI-generated outputs.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking experienced Lawyers to support an advanced AI training and evaluation project. The role involves applying strong legal expertise to develop, review, and evaluate complex legal scenarios and AI-generated outputs.
The successful candidates will use their experience in legal research, legal analysis, contract drafting and review, regulatory interpretation, risk assessment, and practical legal advisory to ensure outputs are accurate, well-reasoned, and relevant to real-world legal and business situations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Legal Scenario Development

  • Develop complex and realistic legal scenarios for AI training and evaluation.
  • Create high-difficulty tasks covering legal analysis, contract matters, regulations, and business-related legal issues.
  • Develop expert reference answers and clear evaluation criteria.
  • Ensure scenarios reflect practical legal work and professional standards.

Legal Research & Analysis

  • Analyse complex legal issues and apply relevant laws, regulations, legal principles, and guidance.
  • Conduct and evaluate legal research to support accurate conclusions and recommendations.
  • Identify legal risks, key issues, and potential implications.
  • Assess the quality, accuracy, and reasoning behind legal analyses.

Contract & Document Review

  • Develop and evaluate tasks involving commercial contracts, legal agreements, policies, and other legal documents.
  • Review legal documents for potential risks, inconsistencies, and key obligations.
  • Assess contract terms and recommend appropriate revisions where necessary.
  • Evaluate the clarity, completeness, and practical application of legal documents.

Regulatory Interpretation & Legal Advisory

  • Interpret applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance.
  • Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical recommendations.
  • Develop scenarios involving legal and business risk assessment.
  • Assess whether legal recommendations are clear, accurate, and commercially practical.

AI Evaluation & Quality Assurance

  • Review AI-generated and expert-produced legal outputs for accuracy and quality.
  • Apply established evaluation rubrics and quality standards.
  • Identify errors, unsupported conclusions, gaps in reasoning, and inaccurate legal interpretations.
  • Review and calibrate team members' outputs to maintain consistent quality standards.

Complex Cases & Escalation

  • Identify complex legal issues, edge cases, and unclear evaluation scenarios.
  • Escalate genuine legal or rubric ambiguities to the Functional SME Lead.
  • Participate in calibration and revision activities to improve task quality.
  • Ensure assigned deliverables meet project guidelines, quality benchmarks, and deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 5–15 years of legal practice experience, preferably at Senior Associate, Counsel, or equivalent level within a law firm, corporate legal department, or similar environment.
  • Juris Doctor (JD), active bar admission, or an equivalent recognised legal qualification and professional licence.

  • Advanced experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and revising commercial contracts, legal agreements, policies, and other legal documents.
  • Ability to analyse complex legal matters and provide clear, practical, and well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Strong ability to interpret laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance and translate them into actionable advice.
  • Excellent written communication, legal judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Must be located in an approved U.S. state.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in Regulatory Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, or related legal advisory roles.
  • Professional compliance certifications such as CCEP, CAMS, or equivalent credentials are an advantage.
  • Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience creating legal assessments, case studies, training materials, evaluation frameworks, or structured rubrics.
