Role Overview
We are seeking highly experienced Marketing Managers to work as Senior AI Trainers on a short-term contract. The successful candidates will apply their marketing expertise to create, evaluate, and refine complex marketing-related tasks and solutions used to improve AI systems.
This role requires strong practical knowledge of marketing strategy, customer segmentation, brand positioning, campaign planning, channel optimization, performance measurement, and budget allocation. You will use expert judgment to assess AI outputs and help ensure recommendations are accurate, commercially relevant, strategic, and data-driven across diverse markets and customer segments.


Key Responsibilities

AI Training & Task Development

  • Develop complex, real-world marketing tasks and scenarios covering brand strategy, product marketing, growth, customer segmentation, positioning, campaign planning, and go-to-market execution.
  • Create high-quality reference solutions and expected outputs based on sound marketing principles and commercial best practices.
  • Design tasks that test AI systems' ability to provide strategic, practical, and data-informed marketing recommendations.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks reflect realistic business challenges across different markets, industries, customer segments, and marketing channels.
AI Output Evaluation & Quality Assurance
  • Review and evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, completeness, logical reasoning, and practical applicability.
  • Assess outputs against established rubrics, quality standards, and functional requirements.
  • Identify inaccuracies, weak assumptions, gaps, inconsistencies, and commercially unrealistic recommendations.
  • Provide clear evaluations and corrections to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated marketing outputs.
  • Ensure completed work consistently meets the required quality standards and turnaround expectations.
Marketing Strategy & Expert Review
  • Apply expert knowledge to evaluate marketing strategies against customer needs, market opportunities, competitive dynamics, and business objectives.
  • Review recommendations relating to brand positioning, messaging, audience segmentation, customer targeting, and value propositions.
  • Assess the quality of go-to-market strategies, integrated marketing plans, and end-to-end campaign architecture.
  • Evaluate whether proposed strategies are commercially viable, actionable, and appropriate for the target market and customer segment.
Campaign & Channel Evaluation
  • Assess marketing recommendations across digital, content, paid media, lifecycle marketing, partnerships, and offline channels.
  • Evaluate channel selection and optimization based on campaign objectives, audience behavior, budget considerations, and expected outcomes.
  • Review campaign plans to ensure alignment between objectives, target audiences, messaging, channels, timelines, and performance metrics.
  • Apply practical marketing experience to identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness and cross-channel integration.
Analytics, Performance & ROI Assessment
  • Evaluate the use of marketing analytics, attribution models, performance measurement, experimentation, and customer insights in AI-generated recommendations.
  • Review proposed KPIs and success metrics to ensure they appropriately measure campaign and business performance.
  • Assess recommendations relating to campaign ROI, marketing effectiveness, budget allocation, and resource optimization.
  • Apply data-driven judgment to validate conclusions and identify unsupported assumptions or weak performance recommendations.
  • Ensure AI outputs demonstrate a strong understanding of how marketing data should inform strategic and operational decisions.
Budget & Resource Management Review
  • Evaluate recommendations involving marketing budgets, investment priorities, resource allocation, and agency management.
  • Assess whether proposed spending and resource decisions are aligned with business objectives and expected return on investment.
  • Review budget allocation across channels and campaigns to identify potential inefficiencies or unrealistic assumptions.
  • Apply commercial judgment to ensure recommendations reflect practical marketing and financial considerations.
Rubric Compliance & Continuous Improvement
  • Apply the evaluation rubrics, guidelines, and quality standards established by the Functional SME/Expert Lead.
  • Work under senior review and incorporate calibration feedback into subsequent tasks and evaluations.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and contribute insights that can improve task design, evaluation standards, and AI performance.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy across assigned work while adapting to updated guidelines and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with reviewers and project stakeholders to support continuous improvement throughout the engagement.

Requirements
  • 8–15 years of experience in brand, product, growth, or integrated marketing, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience developing marketing strategies aligned with customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives.
  • Strong experience managing cross-channel marketing programs across digital, content, paid media, lifecycle, partnerships, and offline channels.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing analytics, attribution, experimentation, performance measurement, and customer insights.
  • Demonstrated experience managing marketing budgets, resource allocation, agencies, and campaign ROI.

Education & Additional Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is preferred but not required.

Availability Requirements
  • Must be available to commit at least 4 hours per day.
  • May work up to 40 hours per week.
  • Must maintain a minimum of 4 hours of overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST).
