Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design and build the intelligence layer powering enterprise-grade agent systems. You will develop production-ready AI workflows that handle high-volume operations such as classification, routing, decision-making, and exception handling.

This role is focused on building reliable, scalable AI systems—not prototypes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy production-grade LLM-based agent systems
• Build multi-step agentic workflows using tool calling and retrieval systems
• Develop evaluation pipelines to measure and improve AI output quality
• Optimize prompt and context engineering for reliability and performance
• Implement backend systems in Python supporting AI workflows
• Handle real-world challenges (hallucinations, edge cases, cost, accuracy)
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ship AI features

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• 1–2+ years LLM / AI systems in production
• Strong Python & backend engineering skills
• Experience with agentic workflows, retrieval, tool use
• Experience building evaluation systems for AI outputs
• Based in San Francisco (on-site)
