AI Product Engineer (On-site)

Location: Palo Alto, California

Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 USD

About the Role

We are seeking an AI Product Engineer to help design and build AI-powered products that solve complex real-world problems in financial operations and enterprise workflows.

In this role, you will own AI-driven features end-to-end — from concept and architecture through implementation, evaluation, deployment, and production reliability. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to build scalable AI systems with a strong focus on user experience, performance, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and launch AI-powered product features end-to-end
• Develop and maintain LLM-based applications and AI workflows
• Build multi-agent systems, orchestration pipelines, and automation tools
• Implement scalable AI/ML pipelines and production-grade backend systems
• Collaborate closely with founders, engineers, and product teams
• Evaluate AI model performance and optimize reliability, latency, and accuracy
• Improve user experience and usability of AI-driven applications
• Ensure production reliability, observability, and monitoring of AI systems
• Contribute to secure and compliant AI infrastructure and workflows
• Participate in technical architecture and product decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience building and shipping AI/ML systems into production environments
• Hands-on experience with LLM systems and AI application development
• Experience building data pipelines and AI workflows
• Strong understanding of user experience and product-focused engineering
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with voice AI systems
• Knowledge of AI governance, security, or regulatory compliance
• Experience with vector databases, RAG pipelines, or agentic AI systems
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Startup or early-stage product experience
