About the Role

We are looking for a System Engineer to join a technology- and regulation-driven environment, focusing on the design, development, and integration of complex technical systems.

You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including mechanics, electronics, software, and testing to ensure high-quality system architecture and validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Architecture & Design: Analyze, design, and document complete technical systems considering functional, safety, and regulatory requirements.

  • Requirements Management: Gather, structure, and track system requirements in coordination with project management and stakeholders.

  • System Integration & Verification: Support integration, validation, and verification of hardware and software components.

  • Automation & Control Engineering: Develop, evaluate, and optimize control and automation concepts for complex mechatronic systems.

  • Model-Based Development: Apply engineering tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Enterprise Architect, and Polarion for simulation and documentation.

  • Agile Collaboration: Work within cross-functional teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

  • Testing & Validation: Participate in system testing, reviews, and verification activities throughout all development phases.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field

  • Initial to several years of experience in system development or integration of complex technical systems

  • Knowledge of automation & control systems, sensor technology, embedded systems, or signal processing

  • Experience with Systems Engineering methodologies and tools (e.g., SysML, DOORS, Polarion)

  • Familiarity with agile development practices

  • Analytical, structured, and independent working style with strong team orientation

  • German language skills: minimum B2

  • English language skills: minimum B2
