Summary: The Digital Product Owner (DPO) serves as the primary representative of business stakeholders, responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and communicating business needs to ensure delivery teams build effective, value-driven solutions. This role bridges business and technology, translating vision and strategy into executable work while guiding delivery teams through Agile and hybrid methodologies. The DPO plays a critical role in prioritizing work, managing risks, and ensuring alignment with business objectives, while maintaining a strong focus on customer needs, operational impact, and measurable outcomes. Responsibilities:
Represent business stakeholders by eliciting, understanding, refining, and communicating business requirements
Partner with sponsors, SMEs, and stakeholders to define business vision, strategy, and customer needs
Influence and engage stakeholders across business and enterprise functions
Support business partners, including those new to execution frameworks, in articulating needs and requirements
Serve as the day-to-day decision-maker for delivery teams, providing continual business guidance
Create, refine, and manage epics, features, and user stories to support technical execution
Own and prioritize the product backlog to align with strategic objectives and business value
Accept or reject completed work based on defined acceptance criteria
Evaluate new requirements, feedback, and defects; determine prioritization, deferral, or inclusion
Define and track metrics related to business value, adoption, and operational impact
Partner with process owners to measure benefits realization and performance outcomes
Prepare business stakeholders for change by providing metrics, adoption strategies, and risk mitigation tactics
4+ years of experience with Feature & User Story Development
4+ years of experience with Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering
4+ years of experience with Agile & Delivery Methodologies
Proven ability to decompose epics into features and user stories for technical execution.
Experience working with business partners to extract and translate vision into actionable requirements
Strong working knowledge of Agile (Scrum) and other delivery approaches (e.g., Waterfall, hybrid models)
Required Tools & Technologies:
Clarity - for understanding and managing epics and strategic initiatives
JIRA - for backlog management, story creation, and team execution tracking
Microsoft Office Suite - for communication, reporting, and stakeholder updates
