Job Description

An independently owned electrical distributor is hiring a driven and client-focused Construction Outside Sales Representative. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional with experience in residential construction and a strong network in the electrical contracting space. Youll manage your own schedule, visit client sites daily, and help drive residential sales growth while being supported by inside sales and project teams. They are looking for a results-oriented hunter who thrives on building relationships and closing business.

Construction Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:

Grow residential construction sales by visiting client sites across Eastern Pennsylvania

Manage accounts and develop long-term relationships with electrical contractors and home builders

Drive business development through warm leads, cold outreach, and your personal network

Collaborate with inside sales and project teams to deliver competitive quotes and exceptional service

Meet or exceed annual sales targets

Attend monthly in-office meetings and weekly virtual pipeline strategy sessions

Maintain and update CRM tools and sales activity trackers

Construction Outside Sales Representative Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications a plus

Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the residential construction or electrical industry

In-depth knowledge of relevant products, materials, and industry standards

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong client relationships

Strong sales acumen with effective negotiation and closing abilities

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a results-driven mindset

Proficient in delivering engaging, professional presentations to clients and stakeholders

Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record

Must live in Eastern Pennsylvania
