What You'll Do:

  • Lead preparation of grading and public improvement plans from concept through final documentation
  • Develop and process technical studies, site plans, and entitlement packages for land development projects
  • Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for public infrastructure (streets, sewers, storm drains)
  • Conduct site assessments and engineering design studies, incorporating infrastructure requirements and regulatory considerations
  • Manage regulatory plan preparation and processing through Los Angeles and Ventura County Public Works
  • Perform constructability reviews and provide construction support services
  • Supervise engineers, designers, and project support staff, ensuring quality and efficiency

What Were Looking For:

  • BSCE degree required
  • California Professional Civil Engineer registration preferred (not required)
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in land development/public works, or 8 years equivalent industry experience
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience leading engineers/designers/project staff
  • Strong knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures (Los Angeles area preferred)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare exhibits, studies, and final plans
  • Strong time management, collaboration, and ability to respond constructively to feedback
