About the job Data Entry Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to accurately and efficiently input data into our systems and databases. The ideal candidate will have excellent typing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under deadlines with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and update data into computer systems and databases accurately and efficiently
Verify data by comparing it to source documents
Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities, and check output
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
Prepare reports and documents as needed
Maintain filing systems and ensure proper documentation
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position preferred
Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data management systems (e.g., CRM, ERP software)
Basic understanding of databases
Strong communication skills
