Welding & Project Coordination Support (WPCS) Engineer

JOB PURPOSE

  • Working closely with the Welding & Project Coordination (WPC) Engineer / Senior Welding & Project Coordination (SWPC) Engineer, will be in charge of the project support for all documentation, procurement, and subcontracting scopes for activities managed by the WCI Department.
  • Department's core group and technical personnel for supporting bidding / tendering, junior engineers / GMT development, and other departments if needed.



QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Degree in any engineering discipline (welding or mechanical or materials or metallurgy) is preferable.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken).



RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 2 – 5 minimum years of working experience in project support activities.
  • Experience in the field of Welding, NDT, FJC, mechanical tests in industry, line pipe and fitting manufacturing, inspection, preferably in Oil & Gas, onshore and offshore pipeline installation and offshore structure installation is a plus.
  • Experience in Project Document Control Management, procurement process, audit process, quality management.
  • The candidate must possess good communication skills, be proactive and committed, energetic, problem solvers, able to work independently as well as within a team, within multicultural environment.



REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Sound knowledge about project management, Quality Control, Document Control.
  • Good communication and ability to work within a team and subcontractors / vendors.
  • Able to participate / lead conference calls with variable audience.
  • Able to manage project package's cost / schedule / dateline.
  • Able to organize his / her work, report activities, understand problem, propose resolution or elevate to manager when needed.
