Quantity Surveyor
About the job Quantity Surveyor
- Work Based Bintulu, Sarawak.

Work Verification & Measurement
- Verify that completed works by contractors comply with approved drawings, scope, and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and measurements to confirm quantities executed.
- Ensure work quality and completion status align with contractual requirements.
- Identify and report discrepancies, deviations, or incomplete work.
Contractor Claims Assessment
- Review and validate contractor progress claims and invoices.
- Cross-check claimed quantities against site measurements and approved rates.
- Ensure all claims are properly supported with documentation and site evidence.
- Assist in the preparation of payment recommendations and certification.
Data Collection & Site Support
- Perform hands-on data collection, including tool time tracking and work activity logging.
- Record manpower utilization, equipment usage, and productivity metrics.
- Support accurate and timely reporting of site progress and cost data.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and reference.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain measurement sheets, verification records, and claim evaluation reports.
- Assist in preparing progress reports, cost summaries, and variation logs.
- Ensure all documentation is updated, traceable, and compliant with company procedures.
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with contractors, site supervisors, and engineering teams for clarification and verification.
- Support senior QS or project team in resolving commercial and site-related issues.
- Participate in site meetings when required.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Diploma in any field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft word.
