About the job Welding & Project Coordination Engineer
JOB PURPOSE
- Responsible for management of welding activities (engineering, operation, WPQTs, WQTs, mobilization) for project execution.
- Department's core group, technical expertise and technical improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS
- Degree in any engineering discipline (preferably welding or mechanical or materials or metallurgy).
- International Welding Engineer or AWS Certified Welding Engineer certification or Chartered Engineer in Welding Engineering or equivalent.
- CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 is a nice to have but not mandatory.
- NDT certifications is a nice to have but not mandatory.
- Coating certifications is a nice to have but not mandatory.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- 2 – 7 minimum years of working experience in Welding, NDT, and QC.
- Welding, NDT, destructive testing (including corrosion and fracture mechanics), line pipe and fitting manufacturing, inspection for oil and gas industry.
- Pipeline (carbon steel and CRA), subsea structures (PLET, FLET, ILT) and structural offshore / onshore installation.
- Project bidding / tendering (technical, cycle time / lay rate, and commercial)
- Worldwide experiences in managing key clients.
- Experience in teamwork and ideally team leader (short team as a minimum).
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Sound welding, NDT, metallurgy and QC knowledge for offshore pipeline and structural.
- Basic FJC knowledge for offshore pipeline.
- Good communication and ability to work within a team and subcontractors/vendors.
- Able to manage project package's cost / schedule / dateline.
- Able to organize his work, report activities, understand problem, propose resolution or elevate to manager when needed.
