Medical Director Clinic-Based Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Director to provide clinical and administrative leadership within a well-established outpatient clinic in Oroville, CA. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to shape the future of patient care, support a team of 13 providers, and drive operational excellence.

Position Highlights:

• 60% administrative | 40% clinical balance between leadership and patient care
• Oversee a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, ensuring quality outcomes and operational efficiency
• See at least 6 patients per day across all age groups
• Enforce EMR documentation standards, ensuring notes are completed within 48 hours
• Promote and implement technology adoption within the health system
• Pathway to CMO: The ideal candidate will have the potential to transition into the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) role, overseeing additional medical directors

Clinic & Support Structure:

• On-site services: Lab, X-ray, and Pharmacy
• Electronic Medical Records: NextGen
• Flexible schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours (option for 4x10-hour shifts)

Qualifications:

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
• California medical license or willingness to obtain (can begin employment while in process)
• Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and coaching clinicians
• Commitment to quality improvement and operational efficiency

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary: $166-$200/hr ($344K-$411K annually)
