  • Location: New York, NY
  • Work Model: Onsite; 5 Days a Week
  • Employment Type: Contract - 1099 (Not open third parties, C2C inquiries, etc.)
  • Contract Duration: 1-year contract with possible contract extension and/or full-time conversion
  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident Status Required

Summary
Our client is looking for a Help Desk Consultant to join their team on a contract basis! In this role, you will provide hands-on end-user support in a dynamic financial sector environment. This position is fully onsite, five days a week, and requires a proactive, customer-focused professional who thrives on face-to-face interaction and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise IT support in a Microsoft environment (Exchange, Active Directory, Azure, PC support, and iOS mobile devices)
  • Engage with end users one-on-one and in groups to provide technical assistance and recommend new technologies
  • Deliver deskside support across all floors of the organization, ensuring a high level of visibility and accessibility to employees
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach, offering professional communication and exceptional service
  • Contribute to additional IT projects beyond daily help desk duties

Requirements

  • 3+ years of both remote and deskside help desk/desktop support experience
  • Prior experience working within the financial sector is required
  • Strong note-taking, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work business hours and stay late when needed
  • Ability to assess needs, recommend solutions, and work with a consultant mindset
