Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex projects from inception to completion! The successful candidate will manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is skilled in managing large-scale projects, including government and commercial aerospace initiatives. Candidates can be based and considered in Columbus, OH, or Houston, TX. The hybrid schedule for this position is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite and remote on Tuesday and Friday.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget delivery
- Provide transparent reporting to stakeholders and proactively manage project risks
- Maintain adherence to project management best practices and company methodologies
- Build and sustain strong client relationships while managing external suppliers and contracts
- Lead cross-functional teams to align on project goals and deliverables
- Mentor and train project management staff to build a high-performing team
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Capture and document lessons learned for continuous improvement
- Uphold the values of integrity, respect, and humility
- Embrace a hands-on approach to problem-solving and project execution
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with up to 30% domestic travel to customer sites if needed along with other office locations
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or product development
- Experience working on government and commercial aerospace initiatives, including familiarity with payload and launch vehicle development
- Experience working with CubeSats, Small Satellites, or any other platforms or payloads designed for operation in space (design, build, test, analysis, launch, operation, etc.).
- Proficiency with project management frameworks and tools
- Strong critical and strategic thinking abilities
- Adaptability to changing environments and priorities
- Attention to detail and business acumen
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development
Education/Certification Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics, or business is required
- PMP certification required
Preferred Requirements
- A Masters degree is preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred
- A background in biological or chemical processes, including foundational laboratory principles and techniques, or the ability to quickly develop expertise in these areas is preferred

Compensation Notice
Actual compensation packages are determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and qualifications.
- This role offers an estimated annual base salary range of $150,000 to $180,000.
