Academic Manager (STEM Education)
Position Summary: You will be responsible for the general oversight, management, direction, research & development and the proper functioning of STEM Education at all levels and work hands in hands with KAD to achieve schools and Company objectives.
I. CRITICAL TASKS
1. Respect and abide by organization's vision, missions, goals and all management policies, guidelines, and quality management systems;
2. Research and compile information on effective STEM programs
3. Develop STEM curricula for all levels of Khmer Academic Programs
4. Ensure STEM curriculum practices at all Education levels
5. Ensure STEM activities are purposeful and promote reflection and STEM learning
6. Ensure program activities run smoothly through appropriate use of materials, space, and time, and that all youth participate
7. Identify and implement program enhancements and opportunities through regular on-site observations and feedback from youth and teachers
8. Lead and involve in STEM Project and STEM Committee with schools
9. Work directly with all schools to develop and improve teaching and learning in STEM areas
10. Serve as a resource and liaison to school staff, community groups, and others in the development of programs related to student achievement in STEM areas
11. Design evaluation and research studies at the school level for STEM initiatives
12. Provide leadership and support to schools in developing cohesive plans for improvement in student achievement in STEM areas
13. Provide leadership to staff, schools, and teacher educators to implement instructional practice for improved student achievement in STEM areas
14. Plan and develop budgets and funding sources for STEM initiatives
15. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
16. Work independently with little direction
17. Represent the needs and interests of the academic program in various School forums;
18. Perform related duties as assigned
II. SECONDARY TASKS
1. Attend Companys ceremonies & events
2. Participate in meeting with relevant institutions
3. Write reports to KAD
4. Perform other related tasks and other tasks to be assigned by the KAD
III. DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITIES
1. Receive all academic reports and suggestions from academic program managers and suggest for solution to the KAD.
2. Audit, question, monitor and evaluate the implementation and improvement of all foreign language programs in the School; provide them feedback and recommendation and report to the KAD.
3. Organize academic technical meetings with all academic managers, school principals and vice principals.
4. Initiate and approves requisitions for materials and services;
5. Propose for teachers professional development, grading policies and procedures, student motivation and recognition programs, teacher regulations and policies, student regulations and policies, and other student support services, etc.
