About the job Product Specification Engineer

Job Summary

The Product Specification Engineer is the lead of Specification Team. S/he will work closely with vendors, all sales teams, and the stakeholder team in order to meet the company's strategy and business goal. S/he needs to understand and identify the target customer and provide product specifications and recommendations. The responsibility of this position will be building, maintaining, and connecting with new and existing customers as dealers, developers, contractors, owners, consultants, architects, engineers, fabricators, etc. in order to provide the best support.

What You Will Doing

  • Active participation in establishing annual strategy, budget, design and implementing business plan that expands more customer base and ensures its strong presence; 
  • Maintain good relationships and service with existing and new project owner, developer, contractor, specifier, consultant, architecture etc. and attend customer complaint and conduct minimum twice a month to join visit with subordinate / sales / WCR;
  • Identifying and reaching out to new potential project partners; 
  • Regularly meeting with stakeholders and business partners;
  • Co-operate with supply chain team and marketing team on product information; 
  • Establish potential customers, conducts theory and practical paint school to related end users and industries, perform project specification follow up activities: monitor and track project development, promote products to customer as applicator, architecture, contractor, developer, owner and actively engage to the company; 
  • Identifying key customers to specify our products into their project specification; 
  • Strongly support to sales team in order to provide and consult of the products selection; 
  • Prepare method statement and method drawing to sales team and WCR; 
  • Planning & coordinating with sales teams to join project bidding and creating channel; 
  • Conduct product (innovation) technical training to internal and external customers; 
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting accuracy and timely on work result to superior; 
  • Perform other activities and tasks assigned by superior.

Your Skill And Experiences Should Be Included

  • Bachelors degree in management, civil engineering or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experiences in specification engineer
  • Ability to communicate with all levels particularly clients
  • Good communication skill in English and Chinese preferable (both spoken and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential with a high degree of sensitivity for confidentiality
  • Presentation skills, customer relationships
  • Ambitious, active, eager to learn new things and problem-solving skills
  • Passionately, honest, punctual, deadline, proactive, creative idea, and negotiation skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Computer literacy and software system is a plus
  • Possess valid driving license is preferable.
