About the job Senior Officer, IT Infrastructure

Implement and maintain IT infrastructure: includes servers, storage, Virtualization, Firewall, networking equipment, and software components. Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure components through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning.

Monitor and troubleshoot IT infrastructure: IT infrastructure officers must be able to identify and resolve problems with the IT infrastructure quickly and efficiently.

Perform capacity planning: IT infrastructure officers must ensure that the IT infrastructure has the capacity to meet the current and future needs of the organization.

Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures: IT infrastructure officers must ensure that the IT infrastructure is secure from cyberattacks and other threats.

System Administration: Administer and maintain servers, operating systems, and related infrastructure components. Install, configure, and troubleshoot server hardware, operating systems, and applications. Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure optimal operation.

Data Storage and Backup: Manage data storage systems, including storage area networks (SANs), network-attached storage (NAS), and cloud storage solutions. Implement data backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data.

Virtualization and Cloud Computing: Deploy and manage virtualization technologies such as VMware and Open stack to optimize server resources and improve scalability.

Network Management: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtual private networks (VPNs)

Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes managing user access controls, implementing security patches and updates, monitoring for security breaches, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Stay up-to-date on the latest IT technologies and trends: IT infrastructure officers must stay up

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related fields. Master's degree is a plus.
At least 2 years of experience in IT Infrastructure or related field.
Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or VMware Certified Professional (VCP), are highly valued.
Proficiency in server administration, network management, operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc),

Virtualization technologies, storage systems, and cloud computing platforms
Familiarity with help desk software, such as Zendesk, Itop or Jira
Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to optimize infrastructure performance and capacity.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support IT infrastructure solutions.
Experience in managing IT infrastructure projects, including planning, resource allocation, and project delivery within defined timelines.
