Our client is a leading multinational company with operations in Batam, specializing in designing and manufacturing electronic products and components for globally recognized brands. In Indonesia, the company serves as a vital production center in its worldwide network, prioritizing efficient manufacturing alongside sustainable practices.

Position Overview:

The Buyer Manager position will be responsible for supporting the team to coordinate materials availability and production planning in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role monitors inventory levels to meet the company's target, analyzes inventory to find improvement actions, and supplies forecast management. This role will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to improve the inventory system and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in coordinating materials availability and production planning for a new project.
  • Manage daily activities to ensure materials are available on time for daily production and oversee vendor performance management to maintain a stable supply for upcoming demands.
  • Monitor the team's inventory level to meet company targets, analyze inventory to identify improvement actions, manage supply forecasting, and develop action plans based on the coming market situation.
  • Coordinate with quality and other concern departments and suppliers to address supply quality issues, preventing impact on production operations, and manage to minimize excess & obsolescence impact due to demand change.
  • Oversee the teams' ISI sample process to meet production goals and support both the new vendor audit process and the audit process.
  • Drive system optimization aimed at improving inventory control, focusing on Lead time, MOQ, and Safety stock.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the same role.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with procurement management and an open mindset to learn and contribute to company success.
  • Basic understanding of Incoterms, warehouse, shipping, and personnel management.
  • Ability to build and maintain good business relationships with internal and external customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Resilient under high pressure, adaptable to changing requirements and new cultures.
  • Fluent in English, proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), with SAP experience as an advantage.
  • Positive attitude, adaptable to company culture, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and influence skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with logical thinking to assess and handle issues effectively.
  • Capable of multitasking and performing well under pressure.
  • Willing to be placed in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia.
