As the Product Development & Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting market research, sourcing products aligned with market needs, and developing effective marketing strategies. This role requires an individual with a strong blend of product development, marketing acumen, and excellent negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- Market Research:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify target markets and assess market demand.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Product Sourcing:
- Source products based on market needs and demands, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives.
- Negotiate with suppliers for products or raw materials, securing favorable terms and agreements.
- Proposal Preparation:
- Prepare proposals, trading terms, and invoices for customers in collaboration with the sales team.
- Ensure accuracy and clarity in all documentation provided to customers and suppliers.
- Customer Needs Fulfillment:
- Provide effective solutions to meet customer needs, collaborating closely with internal teams.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships and clear communication channels with suppliers (raw materials/product sources) and customers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth operations between various stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Material Science, Chemicals), Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or other relevant fields.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related position, demonstrating a strong understanding of product development, marketing, or related industries.
- Experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Product Development, Product Experience, Sales, Business Development, or Key Account Management is advantageous.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- A proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to drive initiatives that contribute to overall business growth.
