Our client is a leading multinational company with operations in Batam, specializing in designing and manufacturing electronic products and components for globally recognized brands. They support industry leaders in the design, production, and distribution of household electrical appliances. In Indonesia, the company serves as a vital production center in its worldwide network, prioritizing efficient manufacturing alongside sustainable practices.

Position Overview:

The die-casting head position will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the die-casting department in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role involves setting up and operating die-casting machines, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring high-quality metal cast parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve the company's talent strategy objectives by enhancing organizational capabilities and effectiveness.
• Apply scientific methods, processes, and tools to identify gaps in talent and competencies
• Improve skills, knowledge, competence, and overall organizational performance.
• Develop a strong talent pipeline and update policies and programs to support business success.
• Manage daily die casting production, including planning and coordination with other departments and organizations.
• Drive cost reduction through VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) activities to improve departmental financial performance.
• Elevate lean maturity levels and implement quality assurance directly within operations.
• Conduct operation technology benchmarking against market leaders.
• Participate in company management meetings and oversee daily 6S activities, quality control, and the development of new projects alongside the design team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 15 years of experience in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of die casting tools and processes, 6S methodology, and quality control.
• Fluent in English with strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); experience with SAP is a plus.
• Positive attitude, adaptable to company culture, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, logical thinking to assess issues and take proper actions.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks while performing well under pressure.
• Willing to be placed in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia.
