Position Overview:

The Warehouse Assistant Manager position will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient goods flow (receiving, storing, dispatching), leading warehouse staff, managing inventory accuracy, enforcing safety protocols, and optimizing space/processes for maximum productivity in a safe, organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, guide, and manage team members in handling job arrangements from incoming materials, issuing to production, storing materials, and the shipping process (Export-Import) while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of raw material & finished goods warehouses and supervise warehouse leaders to ensure adherence to their job descriptions and responsibilities.
  • Continuously improve and optimize operational accuracy and efficiency in Raw Material receiving & issuing, Finish Good receiving, loading , and maintain warehouse inventory accuracy, first-in-first-out, traceability through WMS support.
  • Control warehouse costs to stay within the overhead cost budget, including overtime and maintenance expenses, and maintain or improve the standard to meet company goals.
  • Provide training for warehouse supervisors and employees to uphold and improve job safety and efficiency, and follow up on outstanding issues and customer complaints.
  • Prepare relevant reports and analyses with improvement plans, manage supervisors and leaders for kitting jobs and delivery the material on time to production, and handle the aging report , coordinating for disposition.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics management or related field with at least 7 years of experience in the same position.
  • Familiarity with warehouses, shipping, and personnel management, and the ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Experience managing warehouse layout, receiving & issuing & loading efficiency continuously.
  • Skilled in controlling and monitoring warehouse and overhead, assessing performance of warehouse and shipping teams, managing maintenance budgets, quality, and scheduling.
  • Fluent in English (reading, speaking, and writing), proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP, with strong interpersonal, communication, influence, and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of multitasking and performing effectively under pressure.
  • Positive attitude with adaptability to company culture and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Willing to be placed in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia.
