Business analyst IT

We are currently seeking a motivated IT generalist, ideally an analyst with technical skills, to join the team at the client in the automotive sector. Reporting to the Financial Services IT lead, this person will focus on business and systems analysis for all IT requirements related to designated projects.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the local Project Manager and the IT community at Headquarters in Munich.

Key Responsibilities:
- Business & Systems Analysis
- Define current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) system processes for both short-term and long-term objectives.
- Review standard interface descriptions and prepare specifications for necessary changes to local systems.
- Assess existing system capabilities and create functional and technical specifications for required changes.
- Propose modifications to current and planned business processes.
- Ensure clarity in requirements and effective communication.
- Suggest practical workarounds for key issues to align solutions with project timelines.
- Support the development of test strategies and manage testing phases.
- Ensure compliance with IT Security, Data Privacy, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- IT Operations Support (as requested by management)
- Investigate and analyze issues or changes within the existing IT application landscape.
- Assist with documentation and knowledge transfer activities.
- Quickly gain knowledge of application configurations (e.g., workflows in document storage systems) and execute analysis and configuration changes in a controlled and qualitative manner.
- Develop and maintain basic scripts (e.g., VBA, Bash, and/or Python).
- Develop and maintain SQL queries.

Profile Requirements:
- Strong background in business analysis with knowledge of standard methodologies.
- Experience in reviewing interface contracts and identifying necessary system changes.
- Familiarity with standard interfacing concepts, including XML, JSON, and Web services, as well as basic security concepts.
- Experience with agile working models and tools (Jira, Xray, Confluence).
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining basic scripts (e.g., VBA, Bash, Python) and SQL queries.
- Ability to engage in discussions with a diverse range of IT colleagues (Architects, Developers, Project Managers) and business colleagues (End-users, Management).
- Capability to assess the impact of decisions and proposals in terms of risk and business process implications.
- Quick adaptability and a strong willingness to learn the current application landscape.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into clear language.
- Experience in automotive sector is a plus.
- Experience in financial sector is a plus.
- Experience in Jira & confluence is a plus.
