📋 Tasks and responsibilities
For an industrial project setting at a technical site in Olen, we are seeking a Project Manager to lead industrial investment projects from the initial analysis phase through execution and final handover. The assignments may relate to production installations, infrastructure works and initiatives linked to R&D.
You manage projects in various phases of maturity and ensure completion in line with the agreed scope, timeline and stakeholder expectations.
- Define scope, deliverables, budget and planning together with the relevant stakeholders.
- Establish, coordinate and steer multidisciplinary project teams.
- Monitor the technical design across the full project scope.
- Draft specifications and tender documentation for contractors, engineering partners and other external parties.
- Contribute to the selection of suppliers, engineering companies, contractors and specialist partners.
- Lead and follow up both internal and external project resources throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Manage scope changes and translate approved modifications into the execution plan.
- Report in a structured way on progress, risks and key decisions to stakeholders and management.
📝 Your profile
- You have 3 to 5 years of experience in end-to-end project management, from pre-study to implementation and handover.
- You have completed at least 5 relevant assignments in a Project Manager position.
- You are familiar with recognised project management methodologies and planning approaches.
- You have experience with MS Project or a similar planning tool.
- You have a technical background as an engineer or project engineer.
- You have broad technical knowledge in disciplines such as mechanics, electricity, piping and civil works.
- You have knowledge of, or hands-on experience in, the process industry.
- You combine strong analytical skills with an overall helicopter view.
- You bring technical insight in domains such as electromechanics and chemistry.
- You communicate clearly and report in a concise, structured manner.
- You are a team-oriented professional who works effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
- You are able to guide and coach a team and can challenge proposed solutions when needed.
- You ask the right questions and show a strong affinity with technology, engineering and project management.
- You are fluent in Dutch and have a very good command of English.
- You hold a VCA-VOL certificate.
- You are available to work 100% onsite in Olen, with occasional travel abroad when required.
Interview process
The selection process consists of a first interview via Teams, followed by an onsite meeting including a site visit and case study.
