Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst supports the organization by analyzing data, improving business processes, and generating insights that enhance sales performance and operational efficiency. This role works closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Delivery teams to ensure accurate reporting, optimized workflows, and data-driven decision-making.
1.Sales & Commercial Analysis- Support the analysis of sales performance including pipeline trends, lead quality, opportunity status, win/loss statistics, and customer buying patterns.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for Sales Managers and leadership.
- Assist in territory, segment, and account-level performance reviews.
- Analyze sales funnel conversion rates and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
2. Business Process & Operational Improvement
- Map and document current processes (sales ops, finance workflows, approvals, onboarding, etc.).
- Identify areas for process simplification, automation, or standardization.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and monitor impact.
- Assist in CRM (Salesforce or equivalent) validation and workflow enhancements.
3. Reporting, Dashboards & Insights
- Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or CRM-related analytics tools.
- Consolidate data from multiple sources to create unified reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all KPI reporting.
- Support automation of recurring reports and performance summaries.
4. Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work with Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, and Delivery to align business requirements.
- Gather and document business requirements (BRDs) for system or process changes.
- Support departmental projects such as system upgrades, tool enhancements, or internal audits.
- Coordinate with IT/CRM Admins to implement requested enhancements.
5. Data Governance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure data cleanliness and audit inputs across CRM and reporting tools.
- Perform periodic data quality checks and reconciliation.
- Support development of standard KPI definitions and performance scorecards.
6. Management Support
- Prepare presentations and summaries for management reviews or strategy meetings.
- Support the Senior Business Analyst or Lead Analyst with ad-hoc analysis.
- Assist in quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with data packs and insights.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Information Systems or related field.
- Minimum 3–6 years experience in business analysis, sales operations, commercial analytics preferably in technology or consulting sectors.
- Advanced Excel and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau); working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R advantageous.
- Solid business understanding of sales pipeline management, pricing models, and customer behavior.
- Strong problem-solving ability and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
