About the opportunity:

As our Senior Category Manager, you'll drive category and sourcing strategies, manage suppliers, and ensure cost-effective procurement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Select and negotiate with top suppliers, optimize performance.
  • Cost Control: Oversee budgets, implement savings strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards and resolve issues.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop plans to align with business goals and market trends.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate and manage supplier contracts.
  • Collaboration: Engage stakeholders, support project goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure ethical practices and risk management.

Required experience:

  • 7+ years in procurement or category management.
  • Procurement or category management background in construction, manufacturing, or engineering
  • Experience in transport or subcontractor procurement a plus.
  • Relevant degree or qualification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel.
  • Must hold a valid UK Driving licence
