Overview of the role:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, cultivating key client relationships, and driving revenue growth while upholding our commitment to service excellence. The Business Development Manager will hold a hybrid role, requiring one day of office presence per week based in Slough.
Key Responsibilities:
- As our Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our growth strategy, identifying new business partners, securing lucrative contracts, and nurturing client relationships.
- Take charge of your sales targets, leveraging self-generated leads and inquiries to drive the entire sales process from prospecting to contract negotiation.
- Engage with key stakeholders including end-users, facilities managers, customer managing agents, and specifiers, showcasing our services and closing deals at operational and board levels.
- Build and expand a robust network of contacts within the marketplace, continuously seeking out new business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with the Estimating Team and colleagues to ensure seamless processing of enquiries, conduct thorough site surveys, and prepare accurate asset schedules for pricing.
Person Specification and Key Competencies:
- Proven track record as a Business Development Manager within the Hard Services sector is essential.
- Strong expertise in estimating and pricing jobs, coupled with a high level of technical and commercial acumen.
- Self-driven, proactive, and adaptable approach to achieving sales targets, with a readiness to engage at operational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to generate revenue through proactive sales prospecting and effective client development.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in IT tools, particularly MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
