About the Role

ANE Consulting is assembling a qualified team of professionals for a major Structural Rehabilitation project at the Throgs Neck Bridge (MTA). This multi-year, $100+ million initiative is anticipated to begin in Q1 2026 and will span approximately 1,260+ calendar days. The project involves significant structural replacement, repair, and rehabilitation work on one of New York City's most iconic transportation structures.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, technically demanding infrastructure program that enhances safety, longevity, and reliability for millions of daily travelers.

  • Project Manager / Construction Manager

  • Field Engineer / Senior Engineer

  • Structural / Bridge Inspector (field-based; NBIS or equivalent preferred)

  • Cost Engineer / Estimator

  • Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer

  • Field Coordinator / Construction Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

Depending on role, responsibilities may include:

  • Overseeing and coordinating major bridge rehabilitation work, including replacement of subfloor beams, stringers, cracked deck rib bearing plates, tower link assemblies, and sign structures.

  • Managing and inspecting repair work on floor beams, installation of high-strength bolts, and rehabilitation of tower wind pins.

  • Directing or performing ancillary structural, inspection, site support, QA/QC, documentation, compliance, and coordination activities.

  • Ensuring adherence to MTA standards, DBE/MWBE participation goals, safety protocols, and reporting requirements.

  • Preparing daily reports, progress documentation, and field correspondence.

  • Collaborating with project stakeholders, contractors, and MTA oversight teams to maintain schedule, quality, and compliance objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of direct experience on MTA or NYC transit authority bridge, tunnel, or major structural infrastructure contracts.

  • Experience with transit or municipal owner contracts, including DBE/MWBE, safety, and quality control procedures.

  • Familiarity with field documentation, QA/QC tracking, and reporting requirements.

  • Ability to perform site visits, inspections, and coordination in the Bronx/Queens, NY region.

  • Certification(s) such as NACE, ACI, NBIS, PE, or equivalent credentials are strongly preferred.
