Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a fast-growing company in Berlin. You will build scalable data pipelines, enhance data quality frameworks, and develop APIs for third-party data exports. This role is ideal for someone passionate about optimizing data infrastructure and enabling machine learning and analytics teams to thrive.

Your Responsibilities

• 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines on GCP, optimizing ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured data.
• Establish a data quality framework, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all data operations.
• Develop secure, scalable APIs for third-party data exports and seamless integrations.
• Enhance the data platform to support machine learning and analytics teams effectively.
• Drive data quality initiatives, improving monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms.

What You Need

• Strong experience in Python and SQL, specializing in ETL/ELT pipeline optimization.
• Hands-on expertise in data ingestion, validation, monitoring, and anomaly detection.
• Proficiency in data modeling, including dimensional modeling and star schema optimization.
• Experience with data orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure as code (Terraform is a plus).
