Job Description
Education and/or Experience
- A Bachelors degree in business administration, organizational management, or regulatory compliance is required; Masters degree is preferred.
- A minimum of ten years experience in compliance is required and includes demonstrated leadership.
- Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations is necessary.
- Experience in managing ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO18001 accreditation is necessary.
- Requires advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains new employees.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned Team.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- The Compliance Manager ensures legal standards and in-house policies/procedures are initiated, maintained, and enforced. Responsible to enforce regulations in all aspects and levels of the business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters.
Data Analysis/Communication/Issue Resolution Prevention
- Develop, implement, and oversee control systems.
- Evaluate the efficiency of the controls and ensure continuous improvement.
- Identify risks and non-conformity issues.
- Collaborate with all departments to monitor the enforcement of standards and regulations.
- Review the work of others to identify compliance issues and to provide training and advice.
- Schedule and conduct systematic audits of all facilities and processes.
- Act as Company spokesperson during all outside audits. (OHSA, Fire Inspection, FAA, IECeX, City/County/State regulatory agencies, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO18001, etc.)
- Constantly monitor regulatory developments within and outside of the Company.
- Develop and implement best practices in compliance control.
Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards by evaluating or recommending investigations. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations. - Provides detailed reporting on a regular basis to senior management.

Working conditions - Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
