Materials Control Planner - Fort Worth Alliance, TX
Position Summary
To oversee, monitor and report inventory transactions, inventory level, overall inventory status according to defined KPIs, inventory counts and excess/obsolete materials disposition.
Manage orders, shipping documents, and shipment performance reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare import demand file and perform the MRP running job in SAP, verify the accuracy of the MRP run job and publish the MRP.
- Tracking MRP material preparation status and ensuring the accuracy of material demand forecasts.
- DC function, maintain the base data on system including item master and operation BOM effective data, performs weekly item master audits.
- For End of Manufacturing (EOM) materials control, prepare reports and collaborate with fulfillment and other company sites for the disposition of materials.
- Prepare and review reports needed to monitor and control materials aging, excess, salvage, scrap, site to site transfer materials and any other material disposition.
- Coordinates interdepartmental review meetings and follow up with the related functions needed for the control and achievement of KPI for materials and inventory control.
- Responsible to lead all activities of related materials control, such as mid and end of year cycle counts, materials process flows, excess and scrap disposition.
- Manage customer-supplied material accounting, perform system-based accounting inquiries, and conduct cycle counts.
- Issue Sales Order/ Delivery Note and prepare shipping documents.
- Prepare individual portion of shipment hit rate result to be presented in managers meeting.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of RECENT professional experience in materials control, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory software, as well as advanced Excel skills.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CIPS, or Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to efficiently manage material flow and resolve issues.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or related tools).
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English is highly preferred, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively with international suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to thrive under pressure by maintaining composure and delivering results in high- stress or fast-paced situations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in self-directed learning, quickly acquiring new knowledge and skills to adapt to evolving challenges.
