About the Role

- Servicing, repairs, and diagnostic work of our Civil equipment, Truck & Vac Truck units
- Developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules
- Works well with apprentices
- Accurate paperwork and maintenance of records
- Assist in coordinating and managing contractors and suppliers
- Completing work to a high standard
- Assist in developing fleet maintenance history
- Work autonomously and unsupervised
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safe work practices

Tasks Included

- Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in engines and components to identify issues
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other mechanical parts, performing thorough checks on each component
- Repairing or replacing worn or defective parts, followed by reassembling mechanical components, consulting service manuals as needed for accuracy
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to optimise vehicle performance and ensure compliance with environmental standards
- Reassembling engines and components after repairs are completed, ensuring all parts are properly fitted
- Testing and fine-tuning mechanical systems to verify proper performance after repairs
- Utilising computer diagnostics to test and evaluate parts, ensuring efficient and accurate fault detection

Skills and Experience

- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Heavy Vehicle Experience 3+ Years preferred
- Light vehicle experience, Plant Fitters (considered on experience)
- Experience with maintenance and servicing of variety of truck models and equipment
- Experience with Vac Truck and civil equipment maintenance will be highly regarded
- Good knowledge of basic hydraulic and electrical systems
- Experience with pumps & pressure washers preferred but not essential
- HR license preferred but not essential
