Responsibilities
- Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems
- Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
- Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
- Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance of machines and plant.
- The repair of plant that has broken down.
- Maintain plant records.
- Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
- Selecting tools and equipment.
- Estimating material costs and quantities, and machine requirements.
- Collecting and analysing data.
- Ensuring compliance with environmentally sound work practises.
- Collection & disposal of waste materials

Skills and Experience

- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Heavy Vehicle Experience 3+ Years preferred
- Light vehicle experience, Plant Fitters (considered on experience)
- Experience with maintenance and servicing of variety of truck models and equipment
- Experience with Vac Truck and civil equipment maintenance will be highly regarded
- Good knowledge of basic hydraulic and electrical systems
- Experience with pumps & pressure washers preferred but not essential
- HR license preferred but not essential
