About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality control processes and ensure that our products meet the highest standards. This is a managerial role with an organisation-wide scope, responsible for developing and maintaining quality systems, implementing policies and procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will have significant authority over the development of quality systems and standards within Burgtec, ensuring that our products consistently meet both customer expectations and industry benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to enhance overall product excellence.
• Oversee the quality assurance department, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and industry standards.
• Continuously improve Burgtecs quality standards by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Australian manufacturing regulations.
• Collaborate with design, production, and supply chain teams to address quality concerns and drive efficiency.
• Train and mentor staff in quality assurance best practices to foster a company-wide commitment to excellence.
• Monitor and report on key quality metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and participate in system reviews and quality audits, assisting staff in identifying potential improvements to Burgtecs processes and workflows.
• Guide Burgtec through the deployment of quality systems and certification processes to maintain industry-leading standards.
• Assist in the development of objectives, strategies, and plans aimed at achieving customer satisfaction and maximising the efficiency of Burgtecs resources.
• Identify and ensure compliance with formal standards and regulatory codes appropriate to Burgtecs needs.
• Assist with documenting processes and operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure that goods meet Burgtecs manufacturing specifications and quality expectations.
• Engage with customers to monitor their perceptions regarding Burgtecs product quality and timeliness.
• Implement statistical methodologies and quality tools to monitor and control quality across manufacturing operations.
• Provide input into reports on the effectiveness and suitability of Burgtecs quality management system.
• Advise on and deliver training related to quality programs and objectives.

What Were Looking For:

• Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control managerial role, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO standards desirable).
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement organisation-wide quality policies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
• A proactive and analytical mindset, with a drive for continuous improvement.
