About Us:

Rural Mechanical Repairs is located in Charters Towers, only 136km west of Townsville and offers both fully equipped workshop facilities and mobile/onsite repairs. We offer a full range of mechanical servicing, logbook servicing and repairs to all makes and models of cars, body trucks, prime movers, trailers, caravans, machinery and earth moving equipment.

About the Role:

We are seeking Mechanical Engineering Technicians who would like to grow their careers in our family run business. These roles would be permanent full-time positions. We are a small business with 13 staff members who pride ourselves on our quality of workmanship and high standards of customer service.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Combination of workshop and field service.

- Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles, trucks, trailers, caravans, machinery, earthmoving equipment and fixed and mobile plant.

- Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues and develop repair plans.

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely repairs.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labour hours.

Skills and Experience:

- Current manual drivers license

- Air-con license (highly regarded)

- Equipment and Machinery Experience (highly regarded)

- 2 years experience in a similar role.
