About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to join our team, specializing in the installation, maintenance, and repair of 12V electrical systems for 4x4 vehicles, camping setups, and solar power solutions. If you have a passion for off-road and adventure gear and experience working with auxiliary batteries, inverters, solar panels, and related systems, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain 12V and dual battery systems for 4x4 vehicles.
  • Fit and wire solar panels, DC-DC chargers, inverters, and other off-grid power solutions.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in aftermarket accessories such as fridge systems, LED lighting, and power management units.
  • Work with lithium, AGM, and other battery technologies to optimize system performance.
  • Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, offering advice on system upgrades and custom solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including wiring diagrams and job notes.

Skills & Experience

  • Trade qualification in Auto Electrical, Electronic Equipment Servicing, or a related field (preferred but not essential with equivalent experience).
  • Experience with 12V/24V electrical systems, particularly in 4WD and camping applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of solar power systems, charge controllers, and battery management.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A current manual driver's license.
