Job Description

As a Registered Nurse specializing in Critical Care, you will be the lifeline for our most vulnerable clients in various hospital settings. Your expertise and compassionate care are crucial in managing complex health conditions and emergencies. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the highest standard of care.

Areas of Critical Care in Hospitals

  • Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)
  • Trauma Center
  • Burn Unit
  • Emergency Room (ER)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for critically ill patients
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor vital signs and adjust care plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the province of Ontario
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more areas of critical care nursing
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in high-stress environments while maintaining composure
  • Flexibility to work across various critical care areas in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding towns and cities
