Job Description

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW) at Empathic Care Plus Services, you will be an essential part of our healthcare team, providing personal care and companionship to our clients in various settings. Your role will include assisting with activities of daily living, offering emotional support, and ensuring the well-being of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer personal care services that respect the dignity and preferences of each individual
  • Assist clients with daily activities including but not limited to bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Provide emotional support and companionship, cultivating a positive and nurturing environment
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and uphold the highest standards of care
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records

Qualifications

  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) diploma or equivalent academic certification recognized by the Province of Ontario (or completion of 1st year RPN course)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Personal Support Worker
  • Knowledge of Long-Term Care Residence policies and procedures
  • Proof of valid CPR and First Aid
  • Strong ethical standards, a heartfelt passion for caregiving, characterized by a deep sense of empathy
  • Flexibility to work across various establishments in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding locales
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
  • Respectful and compassionate
  • Good time management skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ethics
  • Physical endurance
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Experience with Mobile Applications
  • Have, or willing to obtain:

 - Current Vulnerable Police Check
- Current Tuberculosis Test
- Ministry of Labour WHMIS, AODA & 4 Step Health and Safety Certificates
