Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Cabling Technician to join their team and provide exceptional in-house and on-site technical support. As a Cabling Technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining networking equipment and low-voltage cabling, ensuring seamless communication systems for the clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in network installations and VoIP systems, as well as a dedication to delivering top-tier service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Maintenance:
Install network equipment in data/telco closets and run communication wiring (copper, fiber, and coaxial).
Perform new VoIP installations, and phone system programming, and assist with network hardware setup.
Troubleshoot and repair existing network installations and infrastructure.
- Technical Support:
Assist with maintaining computer networks and media devices such as TVs and monitors.
Provide technical support to clients on-site and remotely, adhering to company SLAs and KPIs.
- Field Operations:
Work at various client sites, managing tasks like package/equipment deliveries, climbing ladders, and operating scissor lifts.
Drive company vehicles (must be insurable) and ensure equipment is transported and handled safely.
- Administrative Duties:
Keep accurate records of work performed, including installation reports and client requests.
Manage inventory in company vehicles and the warehouse, ensuring supplies are stocked and organized.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
2+ years of experience in a technical role, particularly with network installations and VoIP systems.
Experience with low-voltage cabling, including copper, fiber, and coaxial wiring.
Must have a clean driving record and 3+ years of driving experience.
- Skills:
Basic understanding of VoIP and telecom systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer operation.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams.
Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various environments (ladders, construction sites).
- Other Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have own hand tools and an 18V battery-powered drill.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Problem-solving abilities with a focus on client satisfaction.
Team-oriented, open to feedback, and adaptable to changing work environments.
Excellent time management and organization skills.

Hours:
Full-Time, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., M-F, However, Will Vary Depending Upon Job to Include Starting Earlier, Working Late, as well as Weekends
