As Systems Engineer SysOps, you combine deep technical expertise with commercial awareness, communicate clearly with engineers and customers alike, and own projects from first conversation to production.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of complex infrastructure projects across international data centre locations, including virtualisation clusters, dedicated server platforms, storage, backup and high availability systems
• Act as the senior escalation point for server side issues, performing in depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis and driving permanent fixes
• Drive automation across server provisioning, configuration, patching and lifecycle management
• Work closely with the NetOps team on routing, firewalling, load balancing and DDoS protection, and with the DevOps team on deployment pipelines and platform integration
• Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, then design and present tailored solutions, including multi site, high availability and latency sensitive trading environments
• Prepare solution designs, architecture diagrams, bills of materials and cost estimates, and support sales through pre sales
• Partner with management to define, prototype and launch new products and services
• Evaluate new technologies, platforms and vendors
• Set and enforce standards for security, hardening, monitoring, documentation and change management
• Mentor engineers across the team

Your Skills and Experience

• 5+ years in systems engineering or infrastructure, with at least 3 years at senior level, ideally within a hosting provider, data centre or cloud environment
• Expert level Linux administration, plus solid Windows Server experience
• Strong hands on experience with KVM/QEMU, Proxmox or VMware, and familiarity with Docker; Kubernetes is a plus
• Proven experience with storage, replication and backup technologies such as RAID, ZFS, Ceph, DRBD and object storage
• Automation and scripting with Bash, Python and Ansible; Terraform is a plus
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancing and VPNs
• Monitoring and observability tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus or Grafana
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, system hardening and compliance
• Experience in solution design or pre sales, translating client requirements into technical proposals and cost estimates
• Excellent English, with the ability to present to clients and work with management

Salary and Benefits

• EUR 1,800 to 2,500 gross per month
• 13th salary
