Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Sports Product Manager to take ownership of the sportsbook and sports-related product direction across the platform and brands.
This role is responsible for selecting, managing, and optimizing third-party sportsbook and sports content providers, rather than building a proprietary sportsbook from scratch at this stage.
The Sports Product Manager will ensure that sportsbook products are commercially strong, operationally stable, properly integrated, and aligned with market needs across all relevant regions.
The role requires strong understanding of sportsbook operations, providers, risk exposure, market coverage, trading logic, and player behavior across sports betting, racing, virtual sports, and e-sports.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage sportsbook product direction across platform and brands.
- Research, evaluate, and select sportsbook providers based on market fit, product quality, risk, and commercial terms.
- Assess provider suitability across regions, player types, sports coverage, and betting behavior.
- Negotiate and communicate with sportsbook providers regarding commercial terms, fees, revenue share, and integration requirements.
- Coordinate sportsbook integrations with Product, Tech, QA, Payments, Risk, Compliance, and Account Management teams.
- Ensure sportsbook products (pre-match, live betting, racing, virtual sports, e-sports) are properly configured, tested, and launched.
- Monitor sportsbook performance including betting volume, margin, GGR/NGR, conversion, retention, and engagement.
- Analyze competitor sportsbook products, UX, odds, market coverage, and promotions.
- Work with CRM teams to support sports campaigns, promotions, odds boosts, free bets, and event-based offers.
- Support risk management by identifying exposure areas such as arbitrage, low-liquidity markets, suspicious activity, and dangerous betting patterns.
- Coordinate betting limits, restrictions, market rules, and risk controls with Risk and Providers.
- Monitor sportsbook incidents including settlement issues, downtime, bet rejection, and operational problems.
- Resolve sportsbook-related issues with providers and internal teams in a timely manner.
- Maintain documentation on providers, integrations, commercial terms, and product limitations.
- Prepare sportsbook performance reports, provider comparisons, and improvement recommendations.
- Support B2B clients or internal brands with sportsbook configuration and product-related requests.

Provider & Market Evaluation Responsibilities
- Evaluate sportsbook providers by region, market strength, and coverage.
- Analyze odds competitiveness and trading quality.
- Assess live betting performance and product stability.
- Review racing, virtual sports, and e-sports coverage.
- Evaluate risk management capabilities and settlement accuracy.
- Assess UX, mobile experience, and back-office tools.
- Compare commercial terms including fees and revenue share.
- Evaluate integration complexity and provider support quality.
- Ensure suitability for Tier 1 and Tier 2 markets.
Risk & Trading Coordination
- Identify risky leagues, low-liquidity markets, and suspicious betting patterns.
- Monitor arbitrage and value betting exposure.
- Work with Risk team on betting limits, restrictions, and market rules.
- Support management of promotions abuse and high-risk player behavior.
- Monitor settlement disputes, voided bets, and provider issues.
- Coordinate resolution of sportsbook incidents with providers.
CRM & Commercial Coordination
- Support sports promotional calendars and major event campaigns.
- Assist in designing free bets, odds boosts, and risk-free promotions.
- Support reactivation and retention campaigns for sports players.
- Provide insights on sports player segmentation and behavior.
- Ensure risk review of sports campaigns before launch.
- Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as Sports Product Manager, Sportsbook Manager, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of sportsbook operations (odds, markets, settlement, limits, etc.).
- Experience working with sportsbook providers or betting platforms.
- Ability to evaluate providers based on market fit, risk, and commercial value.
- Understanding of sportsbook risk areas and trading exposure.
- Experience working with Product, Tech, Risk, CRM, QA, Compliance, and Support teams.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret sports performance data.
- Commercial mindset and negotiation awareness.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during live sports events and incidents.
Nice to Have
- Experience with providers such as Betby, Digitain, Altenar, Sportradar, Kambi, EveryMatrix.
- Experience in Tier 1 / Tier 2 sportsbook markets.
- Knowledge of racing, virtual sports, and e-sports betting.
- Experience with sportsbook CRM campaigns and promotions.
- Familiarity with BI tools, trading tools, and reporting systems.
- Understanding of bonus mechanics (free bets, cashback, odds boosts, etc.).
- Experience managing sportsbook across multiple brands.
- Basic understanding of APIs and integrations.
- Existing provider relationships.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a commercially aware sportsbook product expert who understands provider ecosystems, market selection, risk management, and product performance optimization.
This is not an operational or page-management role. It requires ownership of sportsbook direction, provider strategy, integration oversight, risk coordination, and commercial performance improvement.
The candidate should understand sportsbook from multiple perspectives: player, provider, business, and risk.
